Acknowledgements
I would like to thank my family for their support not only during the development of the Reading Screening web site, but for their support during the nearly two decades of research in which the Reading Screening was based. Actually, when my children were young, they actively participated in the development of many of the tasks that have been included in the Reading Screening. In addition, I also want to thank my wife, Sondra, for her helpful suggestions regarding the web site, all of which made for a better and more visually appealing presentation.

I am indebted to many of my students over the same two decades, many of whom have been co-authors on the scientific papers that have been published. I am particularly appreciative of Brian Keegan and James Lumley's work with the standardization sample, Amy Ibbetson's voice, and Carol Oehme's editing abilities, and all of the students who were involved in data collection. I am also fortunate to have many wonderful colleagues in the College of Education and the Department of Psychology and Counseling who have provided encouragement and made suggestions for this site and its delivery.

I must also thank Randy McDaniel of VRSchoolHouse who partnered with me and took a huge risk in developing this site. His tireless desire to make this the best possible interactive screening system for assessing children's reading is very much appreciated. Lastly, I am indebted to Bill Bunten, Jr. for his programming expertise. Because of Bill's efforts the Reading Screening web site is much better than I imagined, and I have a pretty good imagination.

To all of those mentioned above, Thanks!
